The year ahead at Jo Hansford

As we near the end of 2024 we want to say a huge thank you to all our clients for their continued support.

It has been another wonderful year at Jo Hansford and one of which we are immensely proud. Over the last year we have looked after over 25,000 clients in both salons, that's a whole lot of hair.

We started off the year by winning the 'Only in Mayfair' award at the Mayfair times community awards which was a wonderful achievement!.

We were also runners up in the London Lifestyle Awards 2024 for ‘Best salon in London’.

Our charitable support this year has extended to support many worthwhile causes such as Macmillan, Groundwork, GOSH, The Hair and Beauty Charity, Marie Curie, White Lodge Centre, Heritage Charity, Save The Children, Healing Little Hearts and Teenage Cancer Trust, Trees for Cities, Pancreatic Cancer and several local schools.

We raised £700 in our charity 12 days of Christmas raffle for pancreatic cancer. Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket and supported this amazing charity.

Moving forwards our aim for the business has always been to be as philanthropic as we can, and to keep working towards being as sustainable as possible. We are going to continue to do this into 2025. We will continue to work with ‘Green Salon Collective’ to recycle hair, foil and anything else that we can! The hair can be utilised to create booms which collect oil in spillages in the sea as well as creating a hair-wool fibre alternative to petroleum or cotton based rope and twine.

We are also introducing two new product ranges to our portfolio in 2025; one skincare and one haircare. We are delighted their ethos perfectly aligns with our sustainability goals.

From a team perspective, we celebrated Taylors 20th and Gemma’s 25th anniversary of working with the company with a delicious dinner at Arlington. Gemma and Taylor are both incredible colourists and have taught our juniors team members for several years. We are always thankful for their loyalty and support of the brand.

We also welcomed Olivia back to Harvey Nichols after her maternity leave and raised our glasses to congratulate Louisa and Frankie on their engagements to Kieran and Ryan.

Sadly we said goodbye to our beloved Tom in June, Tom was an incredibly talented hairdresser and he is a huge loss to the Jo Hansford salon and the industry.

We are delighted to have been featured in many press articles this year such as The Daily TelegraphDaily MailTatler, Harpers Bazaar, Hello Magazine,OK Magazine and Womans Hour.

Above and beyond all of this, our priority is always to keep doing what we do best, which is looking after our loyal clients and team members and ensuring we all have fun and laughter along the way!

We are thrilled to share some incredible news that Jo Hansford MBE and Jo Hansford salons have been granted a prestigious Royal Warrant of Appointment in recognition of their outstanding services to the Royal Household.

We are so overjoyed at this fabulous news and cannot wait to share further information in the new year…

We thank you again for choosing us for your hair and beauty services.

With love from Jo and Joanna x
