Sustainability is a core value at Jo Hansford and we are taking concrete steps to minimise our environmental footprint and develop our relationships with brands who feel the same way.

In alignment with our commitment to sustainability in the coming year and beyond, we're looking to work with Net Zero Now to measure, reduce and compensate for our carbon emissions.

Green salon collective

We are proud to announce our partnership with the Green Salon Collective, a movement that aims to reduce waste by repurposing waste hair and foils.

They use hair in over 10 different ways, including cleaning up oil spills, and donate all of their profits from recycling metals.

It utilises the purest of ingredients, including zero-mile biodynamic extracts, micronised plants, hydrolates and essential oils. Throughout its production process,

Oway relies on renewable solar energy and uses only essential packaging – which is recycled, recyclable  or eco-certified – to minimise its impact on the environment.

To conserve water, we have introduced 'Ecoheads' on our taps, a water-saving solution that does not compromise on the quality of your salon experience. This innovative technology not only saves water but also helps us contribute to a more sustainable year ahead.

Salon life

We are aiming to reduce plastic where possible and therefore retail Hildon water in our salons. We always aim to source our catering products from locally produced farmers and companies such as Monmouth Coffee who have a similar ethos.

We offer a refill service on JH shampoo and conditioner products, allowing customers to repurpose old containers. Reduce, re-Use, recycle with us.
