THE ROYAL WARRANT
The Royal Warrant was one of only seven granted by Her Majesty The Queen in December 2024. It is the first Royal Warrant to be awarded to Jo Hansford MBE and her internationally renowned London salons.
Royal Warrants recognise individuals and businesses that have supplied goods or services to the Royal Household. For Jo Hansford, the award represents an extraordinary acknowledgement of the standards, expertise and personal service that have defined the company for more than three decades.
A LONG-STANDING RELATIONSHIP
Widely described as the “first lady of colour” and the “best tinter on the planet”, Jo Hansford MBE has risen to the highest level of her profession. She also leads the largest independently owned, female-led salon group in London.
Her Majesty The Queen has been a loyal client of Jo Hansford for more than 30 years, beginning shortly after the opening of the Mayfair salon.
The Royal Warrant is therefore not only a formal distinction, but also a recognition of a trusted professional relationship built over many years through discretion, consistency, expertise and an unwavering commitment to quality.

Jo described receiving the Royal Warrant as a genuine honour after proudly caring for The Queen’s hair for more than three decades.
