Getting married is one of life’s most intimate and momentous occasions. It opens up a world of important choices, from finding the perfect place to say “I do” to selecting the dress you have always dreamed of wearing.

It can also bring pressure and stress as you work to ensure that everything runs smoothly, both on the day itself and throughout the preparations.

PREPARATION

Preparation is essential in the lead-up to your wedding. We recommend beginning your hair journey approximately six months in advance so that your colour, cut and condition can be brought to their very best. Creating a carefully planned routine early will give your stylist time to refine your look and support the health of your hair.

Regular haircuts, professional conditioning treatments and a suitable home hair-care routine will help you feel confident on your special day.

Alongside your hair appointments, we can provide a high standard of skin and body treatments, allowing you to meet several of your preparation needs in one place. Services may include advanced facials, mesotherapy, microneedling, massage, pedicures and reflexology.

FOUR WEDDING PREPARATION TIPS

“My goal is to make sure that my clients feel fabulous both in the lead-up to their wedding and on the day itself. Healthy hair is a journey, and I recommend following these four simple steps to help your hair look the best it ever has.”

1

Schedule regular haircuts

Regular appointments with your stylist are key to maintaining healthy-looking hair. They can help to prevent further damage, support healthier growth and improve the appearance and texture of the hair.

2

Add a conditioning treatment

Adding a conditioning treatment to your salon visits is an excellent way to nourish the hair. We offer a premium selection of in-salon treatments, including Kérastase, Olaplex and Oway.

My favourite is the Kérastase Fusio-Dose treatment, a bespoke service that targets two individual concerns at the same time. It provides an immediate boost of hydration, making it ideal when time is limited.

3

Consider a keratin treatment

If you are planning a destination or summer wedding, or you simply want to reduce frizz, a keratin treatment can be invaluable. The service is designed to hydrate, smooth and manage unruly hair, making it particularly helpful in challenging weather conditions.

4

Invest in home hair care

A carefully chosen home hair-care routine is an important part of maintaining healthy hair between salon appointments. My go-to range is Kérastase Blond Absolu.

Designed for lightened hair, the collection contains hyaluronic acid to support nourishment and edelweiss flower extract to enhance luminosity.

THE BRIDAL HAIR TRIAL

We recommend booking your wedding hair trial two to three months before the wedding day. This appointment gives you the opportunity to discuss your options, timings and expectations with your stylist.

It is also an important chance to raise any concerns and decide which hairstyle will help you look and feel your best.

During the appointment, your stylist will consider each element of the wedding, including your dress, jewellery, hair accessories, venue and overall theme. This allows the stylist to understand your vision and refine every detail of the finished look.

Wedding hair trials in the salon last between one and a half and two hours, with prices starting from £250.

FOUR BRIDAL HAIR TRIAL TIPS

“I always feel honoured and delighted to be part of my clients’ special day. My goal is to make sure that you feel confident and comfortable throughout your bridal trial.”

1

Arrive with clean hair

I recommend washing your hair the evening before your appointment. This creates an ideal foundation for volume, hair-up styles and other finishes because the hair is clean without being excessively soft.

2

Wear a similar neckline

Choose a white top or dress with a neckline similar to your wedding dress. This will make it easier to visualise how your hair will work with the overall shape and style of your bridal look.

3

Coordinate your make-up

Wear a similar style of make-up to the look you are planning for the wedding day. Alternatively, schedule your make-up trial before your hair trial so that you can assess the complete effect.

4

Bring inspiration

Bring a selection of inspirational photographs to your appointment. Understanding both what you like and what you do not like will help your stylist interpret your vision and bring it to life.

Completing the look

THE MAKE-UP TRIAL

Our expert team of make-up artists is available to help you achieve your preferred look, whether you would like something bold and glamorous, soft and natural, or polished and understated.

Make-up trials in the salon last between one hour and one and a half hours, with prices starting from £250.
